These magazine extension grips are designed for 9mm weapons from Smith & Wesson that have the M&P SHIELD. The easy-to-install extension is held in place at the rear cavity of the frame via a friction fit. Once installed, the unit keeps debris from accumulating in the magazine well, which helps prevent jams when firing. It also gives the user additional comfort from having the better stability created by adding at least half an inch of gripping surface to the weapon.
